How to Buy a Reliance SIM

Buying a Reliance SIM or service is very easy. Just follow these steps.

  1. Walk into a Reliance Mobile Store or Reliance World
  2. Fill up a Postpaid / Prepaid Customer Application form
    Instruction for prepaid customers: To get a Reliance GSM Customer Experience Pack, you need to submit a Customer Application Form. You can get the form at nearest Reliance Outlet.
  3. Get your documents ready

List of Documents Required

If you want to submit both of Identity & address proof at one go, then you can submit any one from the list below:

  • Passport
  • Arms License
  • Driving License
  • Photo Identity card having address
  • Election Commission ID card
  • Any Other document containing photograph includes
  • Ration card with photo address applicable for person whose photo is affixed.
  • Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS/Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS)card
  • Certificate of Address having photo issued by MP/MLA/Group A Gazetted Officer in letter head.
  • Certificate of Address with photo from government recognized educational institutions (For Students only)
  • Certificate of Address having photo, issued by village panchayat head (for rural areas)

If you want to submit separate document for identity and for address then the options available are;

For Identity

  • Income Tax PAN Card
  • Photo credit card

For Address

  • Ration card
  • Water Bill (Not older than last months)
  • Telephone bill of fixed line (Not older than last 3 months)
  • Electricity Bill of state company(Not older than last 3 months)
  • Income Tax assessment order
  • Vehicle registration certificate
  • Registered Sale/Lease Agreement.

If the proof of identity also carries the right address then no separate proof of address is required. Customer need to carry the original proof of identity and address so that the photocopy can be duly attested at the outlet.

    1] I want to pay my Reliance Postpaid mobile bills through Internet banking. Inform me process for the same.
    2] I was offerred one SIM card based connection (8956490230) free of charge on my prevailing number-9371002714. Wherein I was informed that conversations between these connections will be Free of charge. But while viewing details of bill received for 07.08.2010 to 06.09.2010-Bill No. 352806243591, it revealed that calls to this number are also charged. Please clarify.

    I had purchased a CDMA FWP in 2006. After about a year getting a topup became difficult. I have been struggling to find a site where I could topup online. Pl do advice as the phone is not of any use without topup.
